Leslie Hill-King was born and raised in Keller, Texas. Growing up, her family and friends were always the center of her life. The women in her family that she looked up to and the female friendships she cherished ignited her passion for telling female stories. She is an eldest daughter, first grandchild, first generation college graduate, and the first of her family to leave the Lone Star State.

Leslie received her BFA in Theatre from Texas State University where she honed her passion for direction and theatre collaboration.

Today, Leslie is looking forward to directing more professional productions. Her artistic statement wants to highlight the chaos, resilience, and beauty that is the beating heart of girlhood.

In addition to female stories, As an LGBTQ+ director, Leslie is dedicated to truthfully exhibiting queer love, relationships, and self discovery in her work.
